Goodbye Rotorua

Well our time here in Rotorua has come to an end. Tomorrow morning Kendall and I will be on our way to Taupo to start the next leg of our journey. We have been stagnant for quite some time now and the excitement is really building. It honestly feels like we are just starting off our trip, but as everyone knows we have been gone almost 9 months.

Rafting and New Responsibilities

Most people who come to New Zealand are here specifically to experience something new, and perhaps to check a few boxes off the old bucket list. For many people this comes in the form of adrenaline- fuelled adventures which are plentiful in this endlessly exhilarating country. Funky Green Rotorua

After arriving in Rotorua 2 weeks ago (wow it has been that long already!?) Kendall and I are starting to really settle down and are on our way to becoming temporary ‘locals’. We instantly felt good about this town, and why wouldn’t you? Rotorua is the tourist capital of the North Island and the geothermic centre of New Zealand. The town is situated on a geothermic sulphur hotspot and draws most of its energy from the underground source.
