Big City Bangkok

Luke and Wat

Bangkok is a BIG city. Like, seriously big. Almost ten million people live in this sprawling metropolis and it really feels like it. From the minute we stepped off our train from Suratthani (which was five hours late by the way grrr…) we were confronted by the magnitude of it. Of course, things probably felt slightly more overwhelming seeing as how we had spent the last two months living on quiet, slow-paced islands. Still, Bangkok is an undeniably intense place.

First Stop in Thailand, Trang

Seafood paradise

When we arrived in Thailand off the ferry from Langkawi, Malaysia we had no idea where we were going to go next or how we would get there for that matter. We hadn’t had any internet for the week we were in Batu Ferringhi so we hadn’t really been able to make any informed plans. Based on our guidebooks description we had the vague idea that we should try to get to a city called Trang. So, after passing through customs that’s what we did.
